PDLC technology & working principle

PDLC smart film adopts polymer dispersed liquid crystal technology. It is a functional optical film formed by coating liquid crystal polymer between two layers of flexible ITO conductive films and then laminating them together. The arrangement of liquid crystal molecules can be controlled by voltage to adjust the transparency of the film. When power is off, liquid crystal molecules are arranged disorderly, blocking parallel light and presenting an opaque frosted state. When powered on, liquid crystal molecules align orderly under the electric field, allowing light to pass through and turning the film transparent. The light transmittance can also be steplessly adjusted by changing the voltage level.
